BE READY TO MEET JESUS
For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. —Matthew 24:27-31
For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. —Matthew 24:37-39
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming… Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. —Matthew 24:42, 44
This day is coming and if you are not prepared to meet Jesus, you better get prepared. This will happen in our lifetime and if it doesn’t, we will meet Jesus after death. You better be prepared! And for we who know Jesus, we are to get the message out before Jesus comes or before we die. Yes, let us proclaim that we will all meet Jesus one day and we better be ready!
Oh yes, when Jesus comes back the world will know, but it will happen when everyone is going on with life as always. So many will not be ready and then it will be too late. Judgment will be upon them…
“I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” —Revelation 6:12-17
Most people will not be expecting His return and they will not be ready. Again, brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, it is given to us to be witnesses to them and disciple-makers of them.
