COMFORT OTHERS WITH THE COMFORT GOD HAS COMFORTED YOU WITH!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. —II Corinthians 1:3-4

Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. —Psalms 149:5

How has God comforted us in the past?  How is He comforting you now?  He is available at all times to comfort anyone who is going through difficulties— whatever they may be.  Then, as He comforts us, He also equips us to be able to comfort others with the comfort that He has comforted us with.

I praise Him for His great comfort that He has comforted me with.  We who know Jesus understand God’s glory and who we are in Him and that we will be with Him one day.  We know that—

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 8:37-39

            Indeed, Jesus said—

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” —John 10:27-30

Even in our beds, whether there for rest or recuperation, let us sing for joy because we are safe in Lord God Almighty’s hands.  What a joy to know this.  What a joy to have His comfort.  What a joy to be able to comfort others with His comfort that He has comforted us with.  So let us not neglect to do so.  There are many hurting people around us.

Dear Father, I thank You for the comfort that You have given Elaine and I over the years.  We are so thankful that you are always available and know all the details of any situation, much more than we do.  We are grateful that we can trust You fully and that You will give us opportunity, and have, to comfort others with the wonderful comfort You have comforted us with.  May we continue to do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_FGVDVp6b8
