SATAN, DEMONS, EVIL, SIN AND DEATH WILL BE SLIENCED!

SATAN, DEMONS, EVIL, SIN AND DEATH WILL BE SILENCED!

And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” —Mark 1:23-24

“Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” —Luke 4:34

“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” —Matthew 8:29

It is interesting in these verses above that the demons—

  • Know there is a time coming for their “destruction”
  • Know there is a time coming for their “torture”
  • Know Jesus is going to be the Judge carrying this out
  • Know that Jesus is the “Holy One of God”
  • Know that Jesus is the “Son of God”

As we get closer to the end of the age (whenever that will be) things are going to get more difficult on this planet for the lost and the saved.  Believers are going to experience persecution on a greater scale.  “Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short” (Revelation 12:12).  The devil, apparently, knows the “signs of the times.” When his time is “short” he is “filled with fury” and many will die.  He cares not at all for mankind.  He hates mankind and he especially hates those who follow Jesus.

Yes, the devil and demons know who Jesus is, know their time is short, know judgment is coming on them— “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder” (James 12:19).  Why do they shudder?  Because a day of reckoning is coming upon them— “And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).   There, in the future, is an end coming to the devil, demons, evil, sin and death.  “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” a for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away…” (Revelation 21:1).  Oh, glorious day!

Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, the best is yet ahead.  King Jesus is victorious.  We are victorious in Him.  He will draw this age to an end.  But lest us be faithful to the call of making disciples right down to the end of this age (Matthew 28:18-20).  Yes, Dear Father, may we be faithful in this by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuuLBPOYcI8
