LISTEN TO JESUS!

LISTEN TO JESUS!

“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” —Matthew 17:5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. —John 1:1-3

The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them. —Psalm 89:11

The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. —Psalm 24:1-2

Are you listening to Jesus?  Our Father said of His Son that He is pleased with Him and to “listen to him.”  So, are we?  What is He saying to you?  Will you be and do what He is telling you?

Jesus is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe—

“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” —Colossians 1:16-17

The One who has created everything is the One those He created are to listen to.  But are we listening to Him?  The world system is not listening to Him.  Look at the injustices and evil in our world.  That is not of God.  That evil is of Satan and he instigates and manipulates people to do his will, those He has ensnared, imprisoned and blinded.  They need to come to their senses because they are not thinking right— and wrong thinking is greatly increasing and becoming more and more against God and His ways.  That is very concerning (II Timothy 2:26; II Corinthians 4:4).

Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, our mission is always the same.  It has not changed since Jesus gave it 2000 years ago.  We are to share the gospel with the whole world and make disciples in the whole world (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20).  “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).  Our Lord is being patient with His church to finish the task He has given us before He comes back.  He desires people to repent, to turn from their own ways and follow His ways.  Fellow followers of Jesus… this is the mission He has given to us!  Are we listening?  Are we seeking to be faithful to what He is saying?  May it be so!

Dear Father may I be faithful in the mission Jesus gave us and may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQd3K2Fxp4
