PROCLAIM HIM TO THE NEXT GENERATION SO THEY WILL AS WELL!
So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. —Psalm 71:18
Wow… I am getting older! I ponder age… I am older by years now than my grandfather and father where when they died. That is a sobering thought! My how times have passed. It is hard to believe I have 4 adult children and 7 grand-daughters and one grandson. Wow…
But my desire, in my older age, is to proclaim our Lord to the next generations— not only to the next generation, but the generation after that as well and that they would do the same right down to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20.
- “Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord” (Psalm 22:30).
- “We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done… so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.” (Psalm 78:4, 6).
- “Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation” (Joel 1:3).
Oh, that I would know Your power and share it with the next generation and they would do the same right down to the end of time. This is my desire— that there would be an unbroken chain of those who follow Jesus and proclaim Him to the end of this age. Not only that, but that other chains would branch off to continue to the end of time as well. Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus that many others would come to know You, live for You and honor You! Yes, may this be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcmqSfr1ENY&list=RDPcmqSfr1ENY&start_radio=1
