Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished. —I Chronicles 28:20

            Fellow followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters, “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).  We, therefore, are “a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good” (Titus 2:14).  We are simply to “do it.”  That is, to do the work God has called us to.  Will we?  Are we?

            We are to be strong.  We are to be courageous.  We are not to be afraid.  We are not to be dismayed.  How can these things be?  It is because our Lord is with us and He is with us until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).  He has promised that He would never leave us or forsake us and that He helps us (Hebrews 13:5-6).  We are so fortunate!

            Our Lord has promised to be with us until we finish the work He has given us.  When it is done, then we will be with Jesus forever and with all who love Him.  O glorious day!  Dear Father, may I be faithful with the work You have given me.  Oh, my desire is to do so.  Please guide me according to Your promise by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_YM_hYzcPo
