OH… HE KNOWS!

For the LORD has an eye on mankind… —Zechariah 9:1

Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work. —Psalm 62:11-12

            Let us always remember and take comfort in knowing that “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).  Indeed, “For our LORD has an eye on mankind” and nothing, absolutely nothing, escapes His notice.  Nobody gets away with anything.  All will be held accountable by God.

            God is all powerful and can do whatever He desires according to His plans and purposes.  None can stay His hand.  He will accomplish what He desires.  His love is also steadfast and all that He does is motivated by His love— even when He holds man accountable and “will render to a man according to his work.”

            So, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, let us not fret.  We know the end result of this age.  God is being very patient with this sinful, rebellious world, but one day He will return— “Beloved, do not let this one thing escape your notice: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:8-9).  Then He will set all things right!  Be patient and faithful.

            Yes, “For the LORD has an eye on mankind” and nobody and nothing escapes His notice.  We are to be faithful in sharing the gospel with people and in making disciples— this is the co-mission we have with Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).  So let us be faithful and seek our “Lord of the harvest” where the harvest is and then go work in that harvest field! (Luke 10:2).  Yes, Dear Father, send me/us into the harvest field and may You bring about a harvest.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit through Your Word that is proclaimed and in the authority of Your Son Jesus who has all authority in Heaven and on Earth.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnhUh2tt97Q
