THE MOST HIGH, KING OF GLORY, RULER OVER ALL!

THE MOST HIGH, KING OF GLORY, RULER OVER ALL!

Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar… At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives forever, for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation; all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?” At the same time my reason returned to me… Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.  —Daniel 2:33-37

Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.’ —Daniel 4:17

Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you: break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed, that there may perhaps be a lengthening of your prosperity. —Daniel 4:27

How arrogant man can be, thinking they are the ones in control!  Those who are in power positions are there because the Most High gave them that responsibility and “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).  Though the prideful, arrogant rulers think they are autonomous, they will be held accountable before the Most High whether they believe that or not.  Actually, all men will give an account to Him!

Rulers today should “let my counsel be acceptable to you: break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed, that there may perhaps be a lengthening of your prosperity.”  That very counsel should be heeded by those in authority, and all people, today.  Here’s the equation for those in authority— break from sin + practice righteousness + show mercy = perhaps there will be a lengthening of your prosperity.  Wow… God’s Word is always appropriate.  It is very clear and it is meant to be headed.

There is a point where a line is crossed and the Most High brings judgment on those in authority.  That judgment begins by not thinking right— they are not reasoning right and need to come to their senses.  Yes, they need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).  This is what needs to be heeded by the leadership at all levels in America because they are not thinking right.  The vast majority of our leadership here in the U.S. need to understand “the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.”  Only then will they understand “the Most High, and praise and honor him who lives forever, for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation; all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”

Dear Father may we understand this and may You reveal to many of our leaders in America this understanding as well.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and by the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus, King of Glory! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x8TZiwPGa0
