TAKING REFUGE IN HIS STEADFAST LOVE!

TAKING REFUGE IN HIS STEADFAST LOVE!

How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. —Psalm 36:7

How amazing is it that our Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, loves us?  How amazing is it that our Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, loves us so much that He left the glorious heaven to come to this sin infested planet.  Not only come here, but then He allowed, in His plan, his own Creation to insult Him, spit on Him, beat Him, scourge Him, press a crown of thorns on His head, make Him carry the very cross He would be crucified on and finally, nail Him to a cross to die a horrible death.  All this was in His purposes because—

“No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them—the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—so that they should live on forever and not see decay… But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead; he will surely take me to himself.” —Psalm 49:7-9, 15

What man could not do, God did—

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” —I Peter 1:18-21

I take my refuge in You, Lord Jesus.  As the Apostle Peter said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:88).  Jesus is the only way to be saved from sin and to be in relationship with God through Him (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).  Then we can serve Him now and be with Him forever.  Yes, I will take my refuge in Jesus.  How about you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB6IvyegNCs

Dear Father I thank You for the safety, eternal safety, that I have in Jesus.  As I look around at the sorry state of this fallen world, I am so grateful to know what is ahead— that I will be with Jesus and all who love Him forever!  Please help me to be faithful and encourage others to call on Jesus before it is too late.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  So may it be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw
