The voice of the Lord… —Psalms 29:3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9

The voice of the Lord is powerful and majestic.  When He speaks something to be, it is done.  He spoke and—

  • There was light— day and night.
  • Made the sky with water above and below it.
  • Created the dry land and seas.
  • Brought forth plants, fruit trees and vegetation of all sorts bearing seed.
  • Made the sun, moon and stars.
  • Fashioned the sea creatures, fish and fowl.
  • Created land animals and man —-Genesis Chapter One

When our Lord speaks for something to happen, then it will happen.  When our Lord speaks Words to be obeyed, then they are to be obeyed.  Listen to what our Father said about hearing— “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”  (Mark 9:7).  His Word is powerful!

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” —Hebrews 1:3

He not only created all things by His Word, but He also sustains all things by His Word.  So be assured that what He has spoken will come to pass.  We can depend on His Word 100%.  Men’s words may fail, but His Word never fails… never!  So, whose word are we depending on today— God’s or man’s?  What is the authority we are living by… God’s or man’s.  I will seek to live by the authority of God’s Word.

Dear Father may I cling to what You say and measure everything by Your Word.  Yes, may I be faithful to what You say in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zaaiFp4RSM
