As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not listen to you. —Jeremiah 44:16

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. —Psalm 23:1

Oh, praise our Lord God Almighty brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus.  He is our Shepherd and we are the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 95:7; 100:3).  “We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one” (I John 5:19).  So let us rejoice.  We know where we are headed and we know where this world is headed.  We are almost home…

This “world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” (I John 2:17).  Those of the world who want nothing to do with our Lord will not listen to us, but “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me” (Matthew 10:40).  There are those who who will listen and respond, but “There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day” (john 12:48).  “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me” (Luke 10:16).  There are those who will listen… just like we did.  So let us be faithful to bring the Good News about Jesus to others!  Yes, Dear Father and may we do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
