HE IS MY HELP!

HE IS MY HELP!

Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help. —Psalm 22:11

But you, O LORD, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid! —Psalm 22:19

            When it comes right down to it, who can truly help me in any situation I find myself?  It is only our Lord that can truly help me.  True, others seek to come to my aid and encourage me, but still, it is only my Lord that can truly help me with my thoughts, words, actions and circumstances.  I need to look to Him foremost!  And… I can be grateful to others for their encouragement.

            My Lord is never far from me.  Actually,

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” —John 14:15-21

            He cannot get any closer than being in us who believe.  Jesus said, “I am with you always until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).  And also, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” and “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6).  So let us ask Him who always present with us and is above all to aid us with whatever we are going through.

I thank You, Dear Father, that You are always present.  Thank you that I can talk with You at any time and trust You to do what is best in my situation.  May I be faithful to carry out Your desires by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be for Your https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfiYWaeAcRw
