HOW FORTUNATE WE ARE!
O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. —Isaiah 25:1
He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces… —Isaiah 25:8
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. —Isaiah 26:3-4
What a joy to know these things! We followers of Jesus will praise the Name of the Lord our God. He has done wonderful things; He is doing wonderful things and He will do wonderful things. Our Lord God has plans from old and they are faithful and sure. He can count on that. What He has planned to do, He will do. Rejoice, followers of Jesus, we are part of His sure and faithful plans!
One day death will be gone forever, never to known again. Our Lord God will wipe away every tear. Never again will there be sorrow or pain.
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.” —Revelation 21:3-4
Oh, rejoice in the peace He has given us. Lord, may I fix my eyes on you as I run this race of life for You— “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2). I will trust You, my everlasting rock! Yes, Dear Father and so may it be by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So be it today and for the rest of my life. However long or short that may be.
