FEAR NOT!

FEAR NOT!

He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” —II Kings 6:16

Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end. The children of your servants shall dwell secure; their offspring shall be established before you. —Psalm 102:25-28

We need not fear man or any circumstances because “those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”  Our Lord “laid the foundation of the earth.”  Surely, He can handle anything going on in your life.  The “heavens are the work” of Our Lord’s hands.  Surely there is not a circumstance on the earth that He is not Sovereign over.  The earth and the heavens “will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end.”  We are secure in Him.  We are established before Him.  We need not fear circumstance, people or even death.  “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

So don’t be afraid.  “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14).  Elisha and his servant were in a town surrounded by the King of Israel’s army.  There was no way out from the human standpoint.  Seemed death was near.  Elisha’s servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” (II Kings 6:15).  “Then Elisha prayed and said, ‘O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.’ So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (II Kings 6:17).  Our Lord rescued Elisha and his servant from that situation and brought a great victory out of what appeared to be imminent defeat.  He can do the same for us!

So, take heart in your situation.  Our Lord will carry out His purposes in your life and for your life.  Will you trust Him regardless of how that is worked out?  We surely would not write the script the same way to include difficulties.  But we are not our Lord and do not understand many of His ways.  What is mean for evil many times He takes and turns it around for good.  Only He can do that which is impossible from the human standpoint.  And so, Dear Father, may we trust You in all situations by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6fA35Ved-Y
