THE EVERLASTING KINGDOM OF JESUS

(21 days… Matthew 5:3-10—- Have kingdom values and characteristics)

THE EVERLASTING KINGDOM OF JESUS

Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting. —Psalm 93:2

But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. —Hebrews 1:8

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) and that will never change.  Jesus said, “And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began” (John 17:5).  And “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:1-3).

It is astounding as we ponder who Jesus is—

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.” —Colossians 1:15-18

This is the King whom we serve.  His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and we are part of that Kingdom.  Let us rejoice.  We are safe and secure in the Kingdom of Jesus where He is King!  So let us—

  • Have a proper perspective of how needy we are and come before the Throne of Grace.
  • Receive the comfort that only He can give.
  • Have the right attitudes that He desires
  • Hunger and thirst for righteousness
  • Be merciful to others
  • Live pure lives
  • Be a peacemaker
  • Understand persecution could come because of living for Jesus

Praise God, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, that we are in His everlasting Kingdom and that we are safe and secure forever.  And let us tell others of Jesus so they can come into His Kingdom as well.  Yes, Dear Father, so may it be by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA_cSFdUMqk
