WE HAVE PEACE IN JESUS
(Today’s fasting and prayer Scripture—I Corinthians 15— We stand by the gospel— Jesus died for our sins, He was buried, He rose the 3rd day and appeared to many— yes, we stand by the gospel we have trusted… unless we believed in vain, unless our belief was hollow and meaningless. May that not be the case! This will be my prayer focus that I seek within the hour of 6am, 12pm and 6pm)
WE HAVE PEACE IN JESUS
Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly. —Psalm 85:8
Have you heard the voice of our Lord? Do you understand that those of His people— those who have called on Him, those who have trusted Him— are at peace with Him… unless they believed in vain? “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:1-2). We have peace with God only by the grace of the gospel we have trusted. Rejoice!
May our belief be not in vain—not be hollow, empty or meaningless words said. May we truly know the peace that only Jesus can give us. Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Yes, we truly have peace in Jesus— “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Oh, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, why would we turn back to folly with all that we have in Jesus. No, let us not turn to folly but let us continue to follow after God’s wisdom.
