ETERNITY IN VIEW

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.  —Revelation 21:1

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”   And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. —Revelation 21:5

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death. —Revelation 21:8

Oh, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, there is coming a day when all this temporary earth will pass away and there will be a new heaven and earth.  The temporary will no longer exist and the eternal will take its place.  Joy of joys to be with Jesus and all who love Him forever and ever and ever…

There will be no more—

  • Tears—He will wipe them away. There will be no more sorrow or sadness!
  • Death— No more separation. Only life together forevermore!
  • Mourning— No circumstance will be negative. There will only be rejoicing!
  • Crying— No heartbreaking any longer. There will only be laughing!
  • Pain— Nothing that hurts will exist. There will only be pleasure forever!

We can count on this— our Lord is going to make all things new.  Nothing of the old will exist any longer.  In the new creation there will no longer be “the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”  All things, all people in the new creation will be perfect.  Oh, let us rejoice.  This is our ultimate desire— to be with Jesus which, as the Apostle Paul said, “which is better by far” (Philippians 1:23).  We are almost home— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ4lAVu9VwU

Please help me Dear Father to be focused on those things that are important to You for the remainder of my life.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus until I am finally home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRSGXKsv7IU
