OUR LORD DOES WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO

The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel: Thus declares the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him. –-Zechariah 12:1

…and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever…. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. —Revelation 20:10, 14-15

            When our Lord speaks concerning Israel or any other nation, peoples, individuals, demons or Satan— it will come to pass.

            Our Lord—

• Stretched out the heavens— Think of how vast the universe is and our Lord is the One who created it. What power!  What Creativity!  How kind!  How Awesome is He!
• Founded the earth— In the immensity of the universe is this tiny speck of a planet on which He created life. Think of how large earth is as you look out the window where you are at right now.  Such a small swath can we see of the earth and our Lord created it and everything in it.  How amazing is He!
• Formed the spirit of man within Him— This is truly astounding. It is our Lord that gave us life just as He has every person that has ever lived, is living or will live.  Think of all that life that He has created and we haven’t even mentioned the animals, vegetation and all life on this planet.  He did it all, is doing it all and will do it all.  How splendid is He!

We can fully count on our Lord doing what He declares He will do.  One day the devil will be thrown into the lake of fire and will no longer deceive anyone.  He will take His place with the beast and false prophet who will have already been there for 1000 years.  Sadly, this will be the fate of every person who has not called on Jesus for the forgiveness of sin.  Those who do not want anything to do with Jesus will also be thrown into the lake of fire.  If they do not trust the substitutionary death of Jesus for them, then they will take the punishment themselves.  This is what our Lord declares and this will come to pass.

So, as we have again considered the birth of Jesus over this Christmas of 2022 (and all year long), let us bring this good news to others as the shepherds did upon the birth of Jesus our Messiah — “So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them” (Like 2:16-18).  So, let us be like the shepherds and declare what has been declared to us by our Lord.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjLlLPZderk
