OUR CREATOR AND SUSTAINER OF ALL

 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” —Revelation 4:11

            Yes, Lord, You are to receive all glory.  You are to receive all honor.  You are to receive all power.  As we look at creation it declares your glory (Psalm 19:1-6).  Nobody can excuse away Your existence.  Your creation is very plain that You, the Creator, exists.  Men ought to always to honor You.  Instead, men suppress the Truth by their wickedness.  They deny Your power and understanding by promoting delusionary lies, being fools, serving created things, living lustfully, having futile thinking and darkened minds.  The end result of denying You is destruction (Romans 1:18-32).  This is so heartbreaking.

            We who have called on Jesus seek to glorify and exalt our Lord and Creator.  We want to honor Him and we recognize that He has all power.  He is sovereign over all.  Not only did He create everything by His mighty power, but by His power He holds all things together (Colossians 1:15-17).  All that is happening every day is because He is in control of it.  The universe came into existence by His command (Hebrews 1:2; 11:3).  And nothing would exist if it were not for Jesus (John 1:3-4).  Nor would it continue without Him!

            All creation exists because of our Lord God Almighty and all creation should acknowledge Him.  Colossians 1:16 says, “all things have been created through him and for him.”  All that He has created is “for Him.”  You have been created “for Him.”  You were meant to be in relationship with Him.  May you and I live to bring glory to Him.  May we understand His power.  May we honor Him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE6GNhjS34A  Oh, that this would be so!

Dear Father, may we have sweet songs of You in our hearts as the birds do.  May we bring You joy as the sunrises and sunsets do for us.  May we acknowledge Your power as we consider the universe— macro and micro.  May we honor You and bring You glory by living in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May it be so!
