RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE!

But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. —Revelation 2:4-5

            Have you abandoned the love you had at first for our Lord Jesus?  You had a desire to serve Him in whatever capacity He asked of you.  Do you still have that desire, that love for Him?  If not, if your love has grown cool or cold, then you need to repent and do the works you have done in the past when your love for Him was passionate.  Yes, be passionate in your loving service to Him.

            What has caused you to abandon the love you had at first for our Lord?  Reflect on this.  What is it or who is it that you love more than our Lord?  This can be seen by the priorities we have in our lives.  Time, treasure, talent… where do we spend it?  That gives and indication of what we truly love.  So what is it that you truly love?  Why has your loving service to Him grown cold?  Repent… return… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGLwJNYu7q8

            Repentance from our first love abandonment is absolutely necessary or our Lord will remove our light and witness.  Reflect on this.  Oh my Father, may Jesus be my first love and may I lovingly serve Him.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Beloved Son.  So may it be!
