GOD EXPECTS FAITHFULNESS

I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father. —II John 1:4

There is not greater joy to know that your own children, and the children of others you know, are walking in the truth.  The flip side of that is also true as well.  There is no greater sadness to know that your children, and the children of others you know, are not walking in the truth.  We, like the father of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-22), watchfully wait for our child to return home, to truly find their home with their Heavenly Father.  Our heart aches for that time…

It is sad that so many around us that are not our children are also not walking in the truth as well.  But this is where we come in.  This is why we are still living on this planet.  It is to love God and to love people (Matthew 22:37-40) and share the love of Jesus with them.

We are commanded to walk in the truth.  So many around us are in disobedience and will not call on Jesus to be saved (Romans 10:13).  They will not acknowledge our Creator (Romans 1:18ff) and they are in rebellion against Him.  But we who know the truth are to be obedient to the truth.  How well are we doing in following Jesus ourselves?  Are we being faithful?  Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, may it be so by the power of His Holy Spirit and in the authority of His Son Jesus.  Yes, Dear Father, may it be so!  And Father, be pleased to reach others through us.  May we be open to You working through us like this.  Yes, may it be so.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjNZf878ISQ
