GOD IS CONTROL!
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. —Colossians 1:15-18
Jesus is—
- The Son of God
- The image of the invisible God
- The firstborn over all creation
- The Creator of all seen and unseen
- Before all things
- The holder of all things together
- The head of the body, the church
- The beginning
- The firstborn of the dead
All of this above shows that Jesus has supremacy in all things. Jesus is the exact image of God, equal to Him (John 5:18). Everything that was created is for Him—
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. —Romans 11:33-36
So, this world that seems to be out of control, fear not, our Lord is Supreme and is carrying out His plans and purposes. These will come to a conclusion. He cannot be thwarted.
