OUR BODIES SHALL BE LIKE JESUS

As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness. —Psalms 17:15

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. —I John 3:2

            The question comes up from time to time— What will our bodies be like in heaven?  People also ask— Will we know each other in heaven?  The answers to both of these questions are given above.  First, after death we are going to have bodies that are fashioned after the glorified body of Jesus.  We are told we will be after His likeness.  Also, we will know Him when we see Him.

            What a joy ahead.  We will have glorified bodies and we will know each other and be together forever.  This is the expectation for every single person who has called on Jesus to be forgiven of their sin and called into a relationship with God through Him!  The best is yet ahead, but let us live faithfully now until we see Jesus!

            Oh, as we consider all the difficulties our bodies go through in this present fallen sinful age— sickness, tiredness, aches and pains, poor vision… There will be none of that affecting those bodies we will have that will be like the body of Jesus!   Oh, glorious day!
