The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. —Psalm 14:1

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. —Romans 1:21-23

Since we are made for relationship with God through His Son Jesus, those who do not want anything to do with Him are bound to be corrupt.  Instead of being faithful to follow and do what our Lord desires, they are in rebellion and doing only what they desire.

Those who claim to be atheists are corrupt.  They cannot be otherwise apart from God just like anyone who does not know Jesus—

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.” —Ephesians 2:1-3

The above paragraph describes all people before they come into relationship with Jesus…

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” —Ephesians 2:4-10

But the atheist or any that do not call on Jesus to be saved (Romans 10:13) are: ungrateful to God for all He has already done for them— have pointless thinking when it comes to God and their minds are darkened— they have wrong thinking— they claim to be wise, but God says they are fools— they worship the creation rather than God.  Things only get worse from there as all kinds of evil are invented to practice and encourage others to practice. (Romans 1:18-32)  Call on Jesus!

Dear Father, please speak to those who need to call on Jesus to be saved from sin, death and hell and to be saved to a relationship with You through Jesus forever.  Oh that many would live for You now and be with You forever.  May it be so!
