FABULOUS FUTURE FOR FOLLOWERS OF JESUS

 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” —Revelation 7:16-17

 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” —Revelation 21:1-4

             This old order of things will pass away at some point in the future, maybe not in the too distant future!  Contemplate that time when famine will no longer exist.  Nobody will ever be hungry again… never!  Or ponder that future time when draught will never be known.  Not one person will ever be thirsty again!  Temperatures will be perfect and there will never be a tear shed there.  Jesus will be ever present as our shepherd.  Imagine, “no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain” will present ever again.  There will never be known a shed tear there.  Wow!

            Jesus coming to earth through His birth, living among us, dying on that wretched cross for our sins, buried in a tomb and rising again from it, appearing for 40 days after His resurrection, ascending back to heaven and is coming again that the old order will pass away and the new order of things replace it.  Jesus stepped into time that all who call on His Name (Romans 10:13) can step into eternity.  Rejoice!  We will see Jesus soon whether through our dying or His coming! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BM9E1hEVrg

Dear Father I am so grateful to have Your gift of eternal life through Jesus.  May joy and peace fill my heart because of Him and may I live to be and do those things that are pleasing in Your sight by the power of Your Holy Spirit and by the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may that be so!
