DESIRING THE PROMISE TO BE FULFILLED!

DESIRING THE PROMISE TO BE FULFILLED!

But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. — II Peter 3:13

Oh glorious day!  We are waiting, hoping, expecting for that day to arrive.  He has promised and He cannot lie (Titus 1:2).  He will fulfill His promise of coming back and making all things new (Revelation 21:1-7).  The heavens and earth will no longer be impacted by sin, sadness and sorrow.  Only righteousness will dwell in the new earth and heavens.  Think about that— only what is right and good and perfect will be in that place.

Is it any wonder the Apostle Paul said, “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body” (Philippians 1:23).  Is that our desire?  Do we desire to be with Jesus to the point of leaving our “body” here— “We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord” (II Corinthians 5:8).  Can we truly say that our heart is like the Apostle Paul’s?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3yUyDzP3z4&list=UUf1NPIFOBwzTLVQiEDnq4Cw&index=27 Keep the promise in always in mind.  He will fulfill it!  What a day that will be!  Rejoice and let not this imperfect, sin saddened world distract you from His promise.  Keep that promise in your eye.

Yes Dear Father I do look so forward to that day when all things will be made right and be right… forever.  Never will I do anything from selfishness again, but only that which honors You.  Yes, I do look forward to when all things will be made new.  Until then may I be faithful to Your desire for me to serve others by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
