LIVE FOR THE ETERNAL, NOT THE TEMPORAL!

Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” —John 6:26-29

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. —John 6:35

Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. —John 6:43-44

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. —John 6:47

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. —John 6:68

What are you living for?  Are you living for the temporary or the eternal?  In the verses above the people wanted to follow after Jesus because He filled their bellies.  They were not seeking after the eternal life that He was offering.  How many people attend “churches” and they are only seeking after what is temporary rather than the eternal?  They put on a veneer of Christianity, but they do not love our Lord God with their whole being nor do they love people.  Love is action and not just words.  There are many who speak the “right” words, but do their actions prove their words true?  How about you and I?  Do our actions prove our words true?  Is what we say we believe truly seen in our lives?  Or… is there a disconnection between our actions and words?  May it not be so!  Oh, that we would truly live out what we say we believe!

The work of God is to believe in Jesus.  Those who truly believe will never hunger and thirst after something they knew was missing in their lives.  Jesus fills that hunger and quenches that thirst.  He is the Answer to all those searching for what is missing in their lives, but unfortunately most seek to fill their lives will all kinds of empty answers.  But they still live their lives with thinking— “There has to more than just this.”  Well… Jesus is the Answer!

Our Father is the One who draws people to Jesus to have that hunger and thirst satisfied.  Are you being drawn?  Will you yield and truly believe and receive the eternal life that Jesus offers?  He alone can give you eternal life.  He alone can satisfy those longings you have deep in your mind.  Those longings you have that nobody else or nothing else can satisfy.  Where will you turn?  He alone is the Answer.  Believe on Jesus and receive eternal life.  Then you will have a relationship with God through Him that will never cease and goes eternally beyond this life!  Oh, that you would call on Him today! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw  For those of us who have called upon Jesus already— let us rejoice in Who He is and what He has done, is doing and will do for us.  Yes, rejoice!

Oh yes, Dear Father, may whoever is reading this call on the Name of Jesus today if they have yet to do so.  May it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may it be so even at this moment! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaP8fKAR2Og
