BE FAITHFUL WITH YOU FLEETING LIFE!

BE FAITHFUL WITH YOUR FLEETING LIFE!

And they come to you as people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear what you say but they will not do it; for with lustful talk in their mouths they act; their heart is set on their gain…for they hear what you say, but they will not do it. —Ezekiel 33:31-32

O LORD, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah  Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!  And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you. —Psalm 39:4-7

People hear God’s Word, but will they obey and do what He says? So many just listen and will not apply His Word to their lives. Time is running out. Our days are measured as a single breath or a fleeting shadow. Why would we focus on heaping up wealth when we won’t have the opportunity to even use it? Somebody asked how much a person left behind after their death. The reply was “All of it.” Our only hope is our Lord and may we live for Him and be a wise steward of the resources He gives us.

What is it that our Lord is saying to you that you need to not only hear, but do?   Let us not be distracted by worldly gain, but let us focus on what our Lord says and be about His business.   Before we know it life will be over and we will give account to Him as His followers (II Corinthians 5:10). Oh, that we would listen and live in such a way so we may hear these words from our Lord— “Well done, good and faithful servant.”   Dear Father may it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLX83HbefrI
