Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. —Psalm 5:2

Oh my Lord, my King and my God please give attention to me as I talk with You.   You say, “You do not have because you do not ask God.” But Lord when I do ask may I be asking with the right motives. May I not be selfishly focused, but focused on Your desires and the benefit of others (James 4:2). Help me to pray according to Your will and not my will.   Yes… Your will be done! You tell us then to “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).  So I will do so!

I am so grateful that I can call upon You at any time. It is truly astounding that the Creator of all things would even listen to me. In gratitude may I come to You. In thankfulness may I come to You. In reverence may I come to You. In aweness may I come to You. In expectation may I come to You. In appreciation may I come to You. In humbleness may I come to You. In hopefulness may I come to You. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt6l-6oVDjY
