The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. —Nahum 1:3

The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it. —Nahum 1:5

Wow! I am amazed at our world how fearful it is of this virus. Of course if a person does know the Lord they should be fearful.   Those who do not know the Lord if they catch this virus and die they will wind up going to hell. They should be fearful. But those of us who know the Lord need not fear the virus or death.   For we who know the Lord death is just a stepping stone to being with the Lord forever. So those who have truly trusted Jesus for salvation need not fear death or anything else. Of course we need to live wisely.

Our Lord is slow to anger, but let not people think that He does not get angry because He does. We are told that “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9). Let it be clear. The reason our Lord has not returned is because He wants others to repent, that is to turn from their own ways, to trust and follow Him. He is not willing that any perish in hell. That is not His desire. He will not force Himself on anyone, but He will bring about circumstances, such as this virus, to get people’s attention.

He has all power and can do whatever he desires. He has either directly brought this virus or has allowed it. It is one or the other because He is Sovereign over everything, everywhere at all times. He works through such things to accomplish His purposes. People should be trembling if they do not know Him… and they are. It is amazing to me the kow-towing of people to all sorts of information that they cannot even verify, but are trusting the “experts.” But the “experts” that are being heard are those who have the media’s ear.   Those dissenting voices that are just as expert or more so, are being shut out. They are being censured. I have always believed if you want to manipulate people then do so through the media.   People are so “connected” to media resources that information can be disseminated quickly and if people just believe what they hear then a populace can be swayed almost immediately.

People who do not know the Lord should tremble. He will punish the guilty. He does that during life and He will do that after death. For those who do not know Him, those who have never called on His Name it will be condemnation in hell forever. Let those words sink in. It was “being condemned” forever that got my attention back in February 1979.   Yet Jesus took the penalty and punishment for our sin that we don’t need to. All who truly call on Him are forgiven. If you have not called on Him today I urge you to do so and receive the greatest Christmas gift of 2020 that you will ever receive! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3sNyZ1RSEk

Dear Father I thank You for Your patience. You were/are patient with me and I am grateful. Your patience leads to salvation for whoever calls on the Name of Jesus. Be pleased to work through me to call others to Jesus. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So be it!
