BE BLAMELESS!

BE BLAMELESS!

“We shall not find any ground for complaint against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God.”—Daniel 6:5

Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: “Peace is multiplied to you. I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues; he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” So this Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian. —Daniel 6:25-28

What a powerful testimony Daniel is of a man of God— a man who truly loved God, a man who was totally committed to God, a man whose vision was far beyond this world, a man who was faithful to God’s Word, a man who was faithful in prayer, a man who was fearless, a man who was expectant, a man who trusted God, a man who did not shrink back in the face of death, a man who served dependably, a man who truly cared about others… Oh… to be a like a Daniel who was totally and unashamedly trusting in God. Yes, to be like him!

His enemies tried to find something against him to get him into trouble. The only thing they could find was that he was committed to his God. So they devised a wicked plan, sucked the king into it and accused Daniel of breaking the king’s edict. The complaint was that Daniel “still prays three times a day” to his God (Daniel 6:10-13) during the 30 days when, according to the edict, no one was to pray to any other god or human other than the king.

So according to the law, and against the king’s desires, Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den for execution. The king’s desire was that Daniel’s God would protect him, which He did.   Then the accusers were thrown into the den after Daniel was taking out the next day. The lions immediately kill them.

The faithfulness of Daniel to God not only has a wonderful testimonial impact on those who knew him, but also upon the entire king’s dominion. The king passed a degree not only honoring Daniel, but the God in whom Daniel believes. Imagine that today! I ruler who would make such a public statement in all the area and to all the people under his rule!

Oh, that our God would be please to do something wonderful like that today.   What a marvel that would be, what a joy that would be and what an amazing testimony that would be! One day the whole world will know! (Matthew 25:31-32).

Dear Father may we live like Daniel where nothing could be found in us to blame except for our commitment to You. Oh may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1BB6Uq6PGk
