HIS MERCIES NEVER END AND HE IS GOOD TO THOSE WHO SEEK HIM!

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. —Lamentations 3:21-25

            Oh, how I need to remember this! When I remember this I have hope. What is it I need to remember? I need to remember that “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” When all others love me not, He does. “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases.”   I am so glad about this because there are times when I am sure that I am unlovable. Yet, He doesn’t stop loving me when others may. I am so thankful for His faithfulness toward me. This is so wonderful, so comforting, so encouraging and I an eternally grateful.

            I am so thankful also that “His mercies never come to an end.” If they did I would be done for. But wonders of wonders, those mercies of His toward me will never cease. Oh, what hope and joy this brings and I will praise Him. His mercies are new every morning. I can start the day knowing that He is my portion, that He loves me and that He is for me and not against me. What a thrill to my soul! So yes, I will wait for Him and experience His goodness. Dear Father I am so grateful, so thankful, so joyful, so thrilled, so comforted, so encouraged that You love me like this. There are times when I don’t love myself and yet You love me at all times. Thank You!   Out of great gratitude may I live faithfully for You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.   So be it!
