I AM FREE!

I AM FREE!

I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. —Psalm 133:45

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:31-32

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. —John 8:36

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. —Galatians 5:1

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. —I Peter 2:16

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. —Galatians 5:13

Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just! —Romans 3:8

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?  By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? —Romans 6:1-2

I am free!  Brother and sister, you are free!  We are free in Jesus to live for Him.  We are not to indulge the flesh.  We are not to allow sin to have dominion over us (Psalm 19:13: 119:133; Romans 6:14).  We are to faithfully live for Him because we love Him ( John 14:21).  We are only able to love Him because He first loved us (I John 4:19).  You and I are not to be in bondage to anything.  We need to be aware of the devil’s schemes and not give him a foothold or beachhead (II Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 6:1:1).  Yes, we are free in Jesus and let us live as such as we walk through this day and every day for the rest of our lives.  Then we will be ushered into that place of ultimate freedom… heaven!  We are free!  We will be free forever with our Lord Jesus!

Dear Father I am so grateful for the freedom You have given me in Jesus.  Oh, may I live as such for Your honor and glory.  May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  So be it!

Praise God for Fred who found freedom Jesus yesterday at the NH State Prison!
