GRANDCHILDREN!

Grandchildren are the crown of the aged… —Proverbs 17:6

            It is one thing to have the joy of children.  It is quite another to have the joy of grandchildren.  To see life come from your own flesh is truly a marvel in itself, but to see life come from your children is tremendously exciting.  I cannot imagine the joy there must be when one has great-grandchildren!

            A crown of grandchildren is a visible surrounding of oneself by them.  When my seven grand-daughters surround me there is great joy in my heart as I consider how precious each one of them is— “May you live to see your children’s children” (Psalm 128:6).  I am so thankful that I have been able to live to see my grandchildren, to hold them, to snuggle with them, to love them…  Yes, I thank You Lord.

Dear Father, may not only my own children be following You faithfully, but may all the grandchildren do so as well.  Then the great grandchildren… the great, great grandchildren and all those right down to the time you come.  May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqe4xkD6FVk
