I AM BLESSED!

My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart. —Psalm 7:10

He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord. —Proverbs 18:22

Oh, how blest I am!  My shield, my protector is God Most High.  I am safe in Him now and will be with Him forever.  This life is so short.  We are but a morning fog soon gone, a single breath breathed (Job 7:7), a mere handbreadth (Psalm 39:5), like a withering flower, like a fleeting shadow (Job 14:2)… but then I will be with Him which is far better.  Even as the Apostle Paul said—

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.” —Philippians 1:21-26

Do I have that mindset of Paul?  Do you?  Are we desiring to be with Jesus “which is better by far?”  Do we see our remaining here on this planet for the “progress and joy in the faith” of others?”  May it be so!  He has blessed me so much!

Part of that blessing He has blessed me with is my wife, Elaine.  This August it will be 45 years that we have been married— 45 years!  How’d that happen so fast?  Anyway, she has been such a faithful wife over all these years as we have sought to serve our Lord together.  I am so grateful for her and so thankful to God that He put her in life to be my wife.  Yes, I am truly blessed!

I am thankful, Dear Father, for Who You are and for all that You do in our lives and in all Your Creation.  It is a joy to serve Jesus and how marvelous will the day be when we who love Him will be with Him forever where He is.  Until then, may I encourage others to know Jesus, grow in Jesus and tell others about Jesus.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  And, may this be so for Your honor and glory and for others benefit! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZ55mDL7dA0&list=RDuZ55mDL7dA0&start_radio=1
