NO SHAME TO BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS!

NO SHAME TO BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS!

As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.” —Romans 9:33

Have you believed? Then you will never be put to shame. “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” (Romans 10:10-11). “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Have you believed? Then your desire should be that others come to know Jesus as well and we have been given the responsibility to bring the gospel to them. How else, God’s Word says in Romans 10:14-15, will they be able to call on His Name if we who believe don’t go to them? — “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Hampton Beach here in New Hampshire has been a great opportunity to share the gospel with many people. I have been part of a team that goes to that beach on Wednesdays. Mark, who is with Open Air Campaign, does black light painting and this opens up many opportunities to speak with people. God’s Word says, ”What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor” (I Corinthians 3:5-8). So, some plant the seed which is the Word of God, others water that seed, but it is always God who causes it to grow.

Last night I was talking with a group of Muslims. Ramadan was the primary spokesman for the group and we talked for some time. Did they trust Jesus? No, not at that time, but seed was either planted or watered. God can make it grow and Lord may You be pleased to do so in their lives. They all took New Testaments and tracts to read and they said they would. May it be so…

We who know Jesus are so fortunate as we know the Truth that has set us free. Oh, that we would have a heart’s desire to proclaim this Good News to others as well so they can be set free as well. May it be so.

Dear Father, thank You for Pastor Suggs who shared the gospel with me back in February of 1979. Now may I be faithful in sharing the gospel to whoever You guide me to for the rest of my life. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu2S9y3r0XE
