A PRAYER REQUEST

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. —I Chronicles 4:10

Here is a brief prayer that we are told the Lord granted. 1- Jabez asked God to bless him. 2- He asked God to enlarge his boundary or domain. 3- He asked for God’s hand to be with him. 4- He asked that he would be kept from harm. 5- He asked that he would be free from pain.

“Oh, God be pleased to bless me.’ That is a wonderful request. What could be better than for God to bless us however He desired to in answer to our prayer? Yes, Lord, be pleased to bless me today.

Do you desire to have an increase of boundaries or domain? Would you like to be of greater influence for the Lord? “Lord, please increase my area of influence for You that others would come to know You and grow in You.”

Have you asked for God’s hand to be with you as you walk though this day or any day? It is wonderful when another person gives us a hand with what we are doing in our day. How much greater is it to have our Lord God Almighty’s hand with us and helping us as we go through our day!

Let us ask God to keep us “from harm” as we walk through this day and to keep us from pain as well. He is able and we can trust Him to do so.
