JESUS IS ALIVE!

JESUS IS ALIVE!

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. —I Corinthians 15:1-8

If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. —I Corinthians 15:13-14

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead… —I Corinthians 15:20

For those who have not believed the gospel in vain— that is, for those who profess to believe and it is not a hollow or empty belief, but sincere— then those who have taken a stand on the gospel they are saved by the gospel.

The gospel is of first importance. This is the starting place for those who follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Without acceptance of the gospel a person cannot be saved. The gospel is: Jesus died for our sins according to the Scripture (Isaiah 53; I John 2:2), Jesus was buried in the tomb (Matthew 27:57-61; Mark 15:42-47), Jesus was raised from the dead the third day according to the Scriptures (Matthew 12:39-40; 17:23; 20:19; Luke 18:33; 24:7, 46; Acts 10:40) and he was seen raised in a flesh and blood body, but different from ours (Luke 24:36-43). Is this what you believe or have you not truly accepted the gospel message, have not actually truly believed this gospel message?

Jesus has risen from the dead and there is plenty of evidence for that fact. Our preaching is not useless and neither is our faith. Jesus is alive and will “judge of the living and the dead” (Acts 10:42; II Timothy 4:1; I Peter 4:5; Revelation 6:10). Fellow follower of Jesus, rejoice in the gospel of our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUYVfOqhfUg
