To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. —Proverbs 8:13
It is all around us in this fallen world. Satan is the god of this age (II Corinthians 4:4) and he blinds people, “taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).
I was there once and being held captive to do Satan’s will. My life-style was filled with evil. The only one I really cared about was myself. Evil was not something I hated, but loved. I wanted to do what I wanted to do.
But now I am not longer a slave of sin and Satan. I have been set free by my Lord Jesus Christ. He broke my chains so I could live for Him and do His will! Now instead of loving evil, I hate it. It makes me sick when I find myself giving in to the old man, the flesh. Oh, what a joy it will be in Heaven where no sin will exist, but only righteous, peace and joy. Yes, what joy it will be when we are with Jesus and all who love Him! Even so come Lord Jesus!
Dear Father, help me to hate pride, arrogance, evil behavior and speech in my own life and to shine for Your honor and glory. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTi3RJOVj2M
