Meanwhile, our enemies were saying, “Before they know what’s happening, we will swoop down on them and kill them and end their work.” —Nehemiah 4:11

As followers of our Lord Jesus Christ we need to always be aware that we are in spiritual warfare. Satan and his demonic armies are destroyers. That is what they seek to do. When Nehemiah and the Jews were rebuilding the wall Satan’s dark kingdom worked through their enemies seeking to hinder them. Yes, the enemies even had a desire to kill them so the work would end.

Now, fellow follower of Jesus, don’t think our enemy today is any less desirous to destroy you so God’s work through you would stop (1 Peter 5:8). He would love to take us out of the battle however he could. Be aware of the tempter seeking to draw you into whatever he can to get and keep your focus off what Jesus desires. Be aware, have the amour of God on (Ephesians 6:10- 18) and continue in the work God has called you to. All for the glory of God!

I was recently asked to come to an area school for their field day with two of our ga-ga pits (a group dodge ball game– sort of). While I was there, as it my usual custom, I shared the gospel in passing using illusionary cards with adults. One of the school staff told me I could not do that. I could not had those cards out. I responded with, “I am talking with adults” and the staff person said OK and walked off.

It is amazing in our country that Islam is making such inroads and a complaint is barely heard, but talk about Jesus and the fireworks begin. Don’t be intimidated by this. Just do what the Lord would have you do. Yes, we are in spiritual warfare. Be prepared!

Dear Father, help me to boldly share Jesus with people wherever You desire me to. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
