GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT

GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT

And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more. Judgment will come because the ruler of this world has already been judged. —John 16:8-11

It is the Holy Spirit of God that brings conviction to people. Brother and sister, you know how that happened when your eyes were opened to understand who Jesus is and who you were as a sinner before Him. Do you remember that time? I surely do! The Holy Spirit’s conviction was powerful and shook me to the core of my being. I had no doubt at that point that as I stood before a Holy God I was headed for Hell. Thank God for His mercy and grace. It has been a joy and honor to be able to serve King Jesus! May you and I do so faithfully for the rest of our lives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zARVp3420I&list=PLcHqC9YNzSaD-O-rkP9o8hDA9jJ_oja4l&index=4

I am responsible to be a sower and water of God’s Word (I Corinthians 3:6-8). It is the Holy Spirit of God who convicts and converts a person. It is He that transforms a person through His Word. I am to be a bearer of the Good News to those around me and He does the inward work that no man can do.

Praise God for the righteousness He gives us when we call upon the Name of Jesus (II Corinthians 5:21). We do not earn it or deserve it. This is a gift (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-10) and it is the only reason we can be in relationship with God now and in glory one day. Praise His Name!

Satan is a defeated foe. He has already been judged and is doom to Hell forever along with all who follow after him. Sometime in the not too distant future the kingdom of darkness will no longer exist! Sin, death, sorrow and all the negative things sin has brought into this world will be gone… gone! Praise God for our future home with Jesus and all those who love Him. Even so come Lord Jesus!

Dear Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus. Thank You also for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for the gift of Your Word so we can know You and know how to live for You. May I be faithful in knowing You and serving You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so!
