But Jesus said, “That isn’t necessary—you feed them.” “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!” they answered. “Bring them here,” he said. Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children! —Matthew 14:16-21

What does Jesus want you to do? Are you feeling like you do not have the resources to accomplish it? Wait, Who wants you to do what? Don’t you think that if Jesus is leading you to do something that He will also provide the resources to accomplish it?

In the context of the verses above Jesus told the disciples to feed the crowd. There may have been 10,000 people or so in that crowd. The average cost of a meal at a restaurant in the U.S. today is $36.30 Just think how much it would cost today to provide this crowd with something to eat at that price—- $363,000! This is just for one meal!

Starting with 5 loaves of bread and two fish, Jesus blessed them and everyone ate as much as they wanted! Not only that, but there were 12 baskets of leftovers! Will you trust Him with what He desires of you? May it be so!

Dear Father, please help me to trust You for whatever You desire in my life. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.
