Woe to those arrogant leaders who think by their own power they are in positions of leadership. Those that do not acknowledge that it was the Lord God Almighty who set them in their office will likely use that office for their own selfish reasons and not for the best interest of the people they are over. Unfortunately, this is what Jesus meant when He said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:41-45). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo9ZWX1lEKI&t=299s

Oh that we would have leaders that would see themselves as servants to the people they are overseeing. There are so many ungodly leaders in the world that seek to “lord it over” the people. A servant leader in a nation would surely stand out as a bright shining light in this dark world! If you are one of those leaders, at whatever level of leadership, shine for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ and for the benefit of those you serve.

Gracious and merciful Father may we be leaders/have leaders that shine forth for Your honor and glory in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of Your Holy Spirit. May it be so!
