OUR COMPASSIONATE GOD

He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. —Psalm 103:10-13

God’s love is truly amazing toward those who fear Him. His love “is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.” We are told that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Yes, His love is everlasting (Psalm 136). Fellow follower of Jesus, we have so much to be thankful for! Let us praise His Name!

God is so gracious toward us. He does not deal with us as we deserve. He does not punish us for all our sins. No, instead “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” In other words He has removed our sins forever from us! Our Father in Heaven is “tender and compassionate to those who fear him.” Rejoice!

Dear Father, thank You for Your unfailing love shown in the Lord Jesus and by the giving of Your Holy Spirit to us. May I treat others as You have treated me!
