THE LORD CARRIES YOU!

Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. —Psalm 68:19

I am sure you have had “one of those days.” We all do. Some of us have more of those type days than others. There are those whose “one of those days” presses on for years, sometimes decades or a life-time. For us who believe in Jesus we know “our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (II Corinthians 4:17). “Light and momentary troubles!” When a person is in them they surely do not feel “light and momentary!” But then we need to look at them as God does and measure them as God does. This is what will encourage our hearts. We measure our trouble too many times only by the temporal and not the eternal. Let us seek to see as God does. My brother or sister, whatever difficulty you have gone through, are going through or will go through, they “are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” These troubles won’t even come close to the eternal glory they are achieving for us!

Of course, when we go through troubles they are real and painful. We must constantly remember that we are not walking through them alone and that the Lord God Almighty is doing something in our lives through the troubles that will affect our eternal glory. Praise His Name, cling to Him, trust Him and rejoice for that which will be revealed in eternal glory because of these trials! http://llerrah.com/footprints.htm You are not alone! Your trials have eternal purpose. You might not understand it fully now, but fellow follower of Jesus, you will know fully in glory!— “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known” (I Corinthians 12:12) Persevere through the Word of God, prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. The finish line is getting closer!

Dear Father, I am grateful to know that I am not alone and that there is purpose in the trials I have gone through, are in or will go through. Please help me to keep my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Yes, let me look to Him in the power of the Holy Spirit. May it be so!
