Look, God is all-powerful. Who is a teacher like him? —Job

Puny man, what can he do? When compared to God man is less than nothing— “The nations of the world are worth nothing to him. In his eyes they count for less than nothing–mere emptiness and froth” (Isaiah 40:17). Again in Isaiah 41:24— “But you are less than nothing and your works are utterly worthless; whoever chooses you is detestable” and again in Psalm 62:9— “Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.” Now, do you think you and I can teach God anything? Only the arrogant would think so!

He who created all things, knows and understands all things is the One whose feet we need to be sitting at! Some are so busy with other things that aren’t necessarily bad, but are distracted from that which is the best (Luke 10:38-42). How about you and I? Are we busy doing all except that which is best? Dear Father, please help me to have the important things as priority in my life. May I truly be faithful in those things You desire me to be. May this be so in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the Name of Jesus!
