NONE WILL ESCAPE THE LAMB’S WRATH
Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” —Revelation 6:15-17
Wind thundered around us all night and the front door of our house seemed to be just about ready to blow inward. We did not sleep and kept our young family huddled together. It was at times like you longed for a storm shelter to escape the wrath of the storm.
There is a wrath coming that people will want to hide from. It is the wrath of the Lamb, the Lord Jesus. He is the ruling Sovereign over all and it will not matter who a person is; they will not be able to escape Him. Political leaders, military leaders, the wealthy, those in power positions of any sort and anyone else, regardless of social standing, will want to hide from the wrath that is coming. But, they will not be able to escape Him!
Today, people can deny Him, mock Him, not believe Him or those who bring the message about Him, but one day they will have to stand before Him. That will be a terrifying day. There are those today who will laugh and scoff at such an idea. Yet these very same people believe the fairy tale of evolution as if that will hide them from the wrath of the Lord Jesus. To reject Jesus is going to be eternally bad news1
People take this so lightly. They don’t think much about how the human race started. They just drink the poisonous philosophies of the day and walk through life in an intellectual stupor. I have many questions for people like this if only they would listen, but many do not even want to discuss them. How did death evolve? What evolved first—light or darkness and how could something that is lifeless evolve? How did our bodies evolve to have two arms and two legs with five digits and nails on each? If blood clotting evolved, did everything bleed to death before hand? Then how could blood clotting evolve? How did the circulation system of our blood, veins and arteries, and heart evolve? How did the heart start pumping? If we did always have lungs, how did oxygen get into our blood stream before? How could we have lived without any of these? Again, evolution is a fairy tale grasped by people who do not want to bow their knee and submit themselves to the Almighty Designer, Jesus (Genesis 1; John 1:1-4; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-3).
“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). If you know Jesus, rejoice! If you don’t I would encourage you to trust Him now as Savior before you experience His wrath as Judge.
Dear Father, thank You for Jesus, the Designer and Sustainer of all life. It is wonderful to know the One who created all things. I am so glad not to be pulled into the lie that everything evolved. Please open the eyes of those who are falling for or are following this lie. May it be so in the power of the Holy Spirit and in Jesus’ authority.
