SPEAK HIS MESSAGE!

The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them. And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions. Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house. —Ezekiel 2:4-7

The hurricane was fast approaching and those on the outer islands were told to evacuate immediately. There were those who refused to leave and said “they would ride out the storm.” Hours later the storm hit those islands dead center and when it passed there was nothing left on any of those islands. All the buildings and people were completely washed away.

As followers of Jesus we are to proclaim the message He has sent us with whether people will hear it or refuse to hear it. Our responsibility is to herald the communication the Lord God Almighty has given us to speak. As we speak for this message the people will know that there is a follower of Jesus Christ among them whether they accept the message or not. We are not to fear what they say nor be afraid of how they might look at us. May we just be faithful in sharing the greatest message this world will ever hear!

Dear Father, help me to be faithful in sharing Your Word with those who desperately need to hear it. May I do so in Jesus authority and by the Holy Spirit’s power.
