PERFECTED IN JESUS!

PERFECTED IN JESUS!

For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. —Hebrews 10:14

“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” —Hebrews 10:17

We who have trusted Jesus should be completely overwhelmed with eternal gratitude as we consider what He has done for us. It was by His death on the cross that enabled us to be forgiven. For all who have called on His Name (Romans 10:13) “He has perfected for all time.” This is an astounding truth— “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21). Someone has coined this verse “the great exchange.” Jesus took our sin upon Himself and gave us the righteousness of God! Now God looks at us Jesus as He looks at His Son. We are righteous in Christ! We have none of our own but He has given us His! This is the only way a person can know God now and be with Him forever— it is being clothed in the righteousness of God through Jesus! He remembers our sins and lawless deeds…NO MORE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_ZWEO36jok

In the Parable of the Wedding Banquet there is one attending without the proper clothing— “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:11-14). Have you heard the gospel call? Have you responded? Do you have wedding clothes on? Are you clothed in the righteousness of Christ by calling on His Name, trusting His finished work at the cross? Whoever called on Jesus for salvation from sin will be clothed in His righteousness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=13s

Dear Father I am so thankful for what Jesus has done for me at the cross and through the resurrection.   Thank You for giving me Your righteousness when I called on His Name. Now may I share this Good News with many that they too may be clothed properly in the Your righteousness. May I do so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
