LIVE A BLAMELESS LIFE

I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.   I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it. The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil. Psalm 101:2-4

            Hmmm… Am I careful to live a blameless life? Do I conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart? Do I look on anything with approval that is vile?   Do I hate what faithless people do?   Do I take part in what they do?   Do I keep the perverse in heart at a distance? Do I have anything to do with evil?

            Lord it is my desire to live a blameless life before you. May I “continue in (You), so that when (You) appear we may be confident and unashamed before (You) at (Your) coming” (I John 2:28).  “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).   Yes, my family will serve the Lord.

            Oh Lord, may I “not look with approval on anything that is vile.” These vile, worthless and good for nothing things are only destructive. Please help me to flee from any of these and surely not give approval to any of them. Please also help me to hate and have no part in the evil that faithless people do.   Instead may I keep the perverse at heart at a distance from me.
